Subscription conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all subscriptions to print and digital offers (hereinafter referred to as subscriptions) of BG Germany GmbH (hereinafter referred to as publisher).

General terms and conditions for subscription offers

1. Conclusion of contract
   The contract between you and the publishing house is concluded by ordering the print subscription or the online subscription and their dispatch or activation for the online area. The publisher reserves the right to check the creditworthiness of the subscriber, which may lead to withdrawal from the contract in the event of negative information. The publisher may also demand advance payment in specific individual cases.
2. Start of delivery of print products
   Delivery of a print subscription shall commence on the next possible date following the order. The print product will be delivered to the address specified by the subscriber. If delivery is not possible, the publisher reserves the right to withdraw from the contract.
3. Cancellation
   The subscription can be cancelled with a notice period of six weeks to the end of the term. The cancellation must be made in writing (by post or by e-mail). After expiry of the notice period, the subscription will be automatically renewed depending on the selected term. Compliance with the cancellation period can only be ensured if the letter of cancellation is received by the publisher before the expiry of the cancellation period. The date of receipt of the notice of cancellation is therefore decisive for compliance with the period of notice.
4. Offsetting and reduction
   The right to set-off or reduction exists only insofar as the counterclaims have been legally established.
5. Retention of title
   The delivered goods remain the property of the publisher until payment has been made in full by you.
6. Changes to the General Terms and Conditions
   The publisher is entitled to change the general terms and conditions. The publisher will inform you of any changes to these General Terms and Conditions.
7. Place of jurisdiction and dispute resolution
   The general place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany. The publisher is not prepared to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Special provisions for digital subscriptions

The contract for a digital subscription is concluded when the publisher sends the order confirmation, but at the latest when the digital subscription is first accessed. Only the subscriber registered with the publisher is entitled to make use of the product offer via the customer account allocated to him. Use by third parties is expressly prohibited. In the event of behaviour in breach of contract on the part of the subscriber, the publisher may block access to the online products. The right of the publisher to terminate the contract for good cause remains unaffected. Subscribers may be requested at any time to update the software provided by the Publisher so that all content can be displayed in full.  

The Publisher shall endeavour to make the digital subscriptions permanently available. Compensation or claims for damages due to a system failure or due to a service interruption cannot be asserted.

Cancellation policy

You have the right to revoke the contract you have concluded within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you received the first printed product or first access to the online products. 

The revocation must be made in writing (by e-mail or by post). Timely dispatch is sufficient to meet the deadline.

If you revoke the contract, the publisher will reimburse you for all costs incurred. Payment will be made within 14 days of receipt of your cancellation. The repayment will be made in the same payment method that you chose when concluding the contract.

In the event of revocation, you are obliged to return the services received. You must bear the costs of the return shipment yourself. 

The right of cancellation may expire prematurely if the contract is expressly confirmed by both the publisher and the subscriber as having been completely fulfilled.
